Year End Vacation 2008

We decided to make it a Visit Malaysia Year for our family vacation this round (Good excuse when you're broke!) So, it was off for a 2 night's stay in Genting and another 2 nights in KL.

Though I booked our accommodation in October, I had a difficult time securing a room at Genting for the dates we had chosen. We ended up staying at First World Hotel's World Club Room. Pretty expensive if you asked me but the plus was we had a special counter to check in when we arrived. Really, there were tons of people checking in at First World and we were really grateful to skip the long queue. The room was just ok for me but the breakfast really sucks! Of course, the kids enjoyed themselves at the theme park and it was fortunate there were no rain when we were there.

In KL, we stayed at The Gardens as they had a promotion rate which was almost the same rate if we had stayed at Boulevard Hotel (my initial choice). The service was good, I liked that it was a non-smoking hotel and also the location convenience. I've stayed at the other 2 hotels at Midvalley before but this was the best.

I did not have time to shop for myself as I had to drag one kid along while the other one stayed at the hotel with The Big Kid. Most of the time, I brought Ryan along with me as I just needed to find him a seat nearby and his Game Boy could keep him occupied until I come back for him *bad mommy*. If I had brought Mei Mei along, she only wanted to shop for her stuff... Yeah, I know, a shopping diva in the making :P.
