The E Word!
I should have been more prepared. I knew one of these days it would happen. It was a matter of sooner or later *sigh*
But when it came, none of us were prepared. It happened two nights ago, when we were all about to sleep, having said our good nites and all. Ryan suddenly asked the Big Kid why sometimes his p3nis is e**ct and he has difficulty trying to bend it down. I had to choke back my laughter (bad mommy) and all The Big Kid could muster was "Why are you asking?" Duh.
Supermommy came to the rescue and replied that "It is a natural body reaction but daddy have to buy a book to explain to you about it so that you can understand better". Ryan bought the story *Phew* Muar ha ha....now, it is daddy's job.
The Big Kid has been bugging me to look for a book that is suitable to teach Ryan about the birds and the bees. I've done some googling and I think this is the best book to get Ten Talks Parents Must Have with Their Children About Sex and Character Not available at MPH :P so, I'll probably get it from Amazon.
Anyone has any good books to recommend? Or any tips to answer Ryan's question?

I'm surprised Ryan didn't ask earlier! Mine asked me when he was 4!! I explained to him, you have good blood flow. He was alright with that!

how about telling him the truth? search info from internet and do some research. guess thats the best chance and right time to give your boy the "education" :)

Kids now a days,too much questions! I guess during my time,i never dare ask my mum how do we (my sister and I) come about,only thing when i asked mum was when i started my period and ask her if its true that a girl can get pregnant!! Reminds me of my from 3 science teacher,first few chapters about the human body/system.
Am surprised that your daughter goes to Rhema, my youngest sister went to that school a few years ago ,but that was the one in Kuching. The school's curriculum is from NZ!We know the principle and one of the teachers there was my teacher before!! Love that school,the teachers are great and the way they teach and managed the things are great!!
